What is ATRANS?

Asian Transportation Research Society or ATRANS

a non-profit research institution established on May 4, 2007, and officially licensed on April 1, 2008.

ATRANS was founded to encourage academics and researchers to conduct empirical and pragmatic research in a multidisciplinary manner, addressing transportation-related issues, traffic safety, energy, and environmental concerns.

Recognizing the importance of research activities, ATRANS was established in response to the lack of transportation research institutions in Asia. It aims to provide funding opportunities for its members to support research in the aforementioned areas.

It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to Asian Transportation Research Society (ATRANS)

Founded in 2008, ATRANS aims at providing academics, policy makers and practitioners in transportation development and innovation through research, evidence-based information interchange, and guidance regarding all modes of transport, urban planning as well safety, energy and environment.

We have now entered a digital transformation era. It is vitally important to bring together academia, experts, and those devising better solutions for the increasingly demanding challenge of the digital transformation and the advancing resilient infrastructure and transportation delivery, exploring transformational technology, and caring for the public’s health and safety and logistics.

In pursuits of “Transport for a Better Life,” ATRANS will continue to keep up with quantitative and qualitative transport research challenges as we believe R & D are a key to finding sustainable solutions.

Thank you very much.
